DR systems offer convenient system management with a control station, consisting of touch sensitive LCD operation panel and a control PC. DR image receptors are fixed in the bucky. A mobile DR pickup is also available and built for the demands of general radiography, trauma, extremities, and orthopedic imaging.

CR is very popular. CR requires exposing the cassette – like film radiology – but without darkroom, processors, or chemicals. The cassette is then moved from the patient to the reader location and read by the computer. The plate is then erased and reusable.
